Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that you may be having an issue keeping your child enrolled in his/her current school. For education laws in your state, I suggest researching on your state's Department of Education website. Most state education department websites also include contact information for further follow-up, if you aren't able to find the information you need by searching their site.

You might also consider discussing your concerns directly with the school administrator (dean? principal?) and/or school board. Here is information to help you in building a positive relationship and communicating effectively with these school leaders: http://www.education.com/topic/parent-teacher-relationship/

Should you need to find a new school for your child, here are two additional resources you may find helpful to that process:
http://www.education.com/schoolfinder
http://www.education.com/topic/private-school-options/

I'm also including below some links to resources to help you in supporting your child's social studies learning and other academics. Thanks for asking, and all the best to you and your family in resolving this issue.
