How do i help my son with reading?  He is in 1st grade, and just turned 6,  he already has speech problems and has just started the "public school" speech program (that took him 2 years to get into).  But he seems to be really struggling with spelling and reading.  He will sound out a word (kind of- he has trouble with some sounds) and then come up with a completely different word than what he sounded out.  He still struggles with site words that he had in pre-k and kinder.  I don't know what to do, were all getting frustrated and i don't know where to turn from here.
