At what time does your daughter go to sleep?  If too early, she might be waking up at 3-4 a.m., because it is simply time to get up.  Children her age ned at least 10-12 hours of sleep a night.  

Does your daughter watch TV before bedtime?  If yes, she might be having nightmares and might be afraid to go back to sleep.  Many children have vivid imaginations and when they watch TV shortly before going to bed, they have bad dreams and difficulties sleeping.

Does your daughter have a night light in her bedroom?  If not, she might be afraid.

Does she have allergy symptoms, such as stuffy nose?  If yes, she might have a difficult time breathing.  Does she snore?  Snoring may interfere with the quality of sleep.  If she has a chronic stuffy nose, snores, or her sleep is restless, talk with her regular health care provider.
