My 5 year old son starts kindergarten this year but we're moving in a month to a different town. Can I wait the month until we move to start him?

Yes, you can wait. Since you are moving into a new district. To be safe though, call ahead and tell the school of your plan. You want to be sure that there will be a space available.

I don't know where you are but I included the link for California.

I goolged California - When can my child start Kindergarten?

Maybe you can do the same if you're not in CA.

IN MY STATE KIDS DONT HAVE TO LEGALLY BE IN SCHOOL UNTIL AGE 6. I WOULD CALL SCHOOL DISTRICT TO FIND OUT.I ACTUALLY STARTED MY CHILD LATE DUE  HEALTH PROBLEMS IN THE FAMILY.SHE STARTED LATE AND DIDNT LIKE IT. WE PULLED her out and homeschooled her for kinder. If you keep him out I would suggest teaching him two hours a day so he doesnt fall behind especially if he has nnever been to preschool.
