You are concerned about your child's learning. He can spell but has difficulty with numbers. This may indicate a learning problem, but at age 6 remediation would be the preference to assessment.

If the problem continues, talk to the teacher and school counselor about what you can do to support his academic needs. They can suggest games and practice to improve his number skills. (There are resources on Education.com to assist parents and teachers on specific skills.)
