my 8yr old and myself (43) got the regular flu shot a few weeks ago. Do we still have to take the h1n1 vaccine?

Hello,

The "regular flu shot" you received (which was developed to combat this year's strain of seasonal flu) will not immunize you or your son against H1N1 (swine flu). When the H1N1 shot becomes available (which is supposed to happen next month) talk to your doctors about whether or not it makes sense for you to get it.

You can find the latest info on the H1N1 vaccine and other info about the flu in Education.com's H1N1 Information Center (link below).

Best,

Kat
