Possibly, but not necessarily. With any mental health diagnosis, of course, you'd want to visit someone (e.g., doctor, psychologist) who could do a full assessment and diagnosis, because things can be a bit more complex. For example, many people demonstrate behaviors symptomatic of ADHD sometimes, but not enough to demonstrate a significant problem. Only a thorough assessment would be able to indicate if the level of behavior related to a particular symptom would be high enough to indicate a "clinically significant" presence of that symptom. For example, consider the behavior/category of "is often distracted." There are times when many of us are distracted, but not enough to rise to the level of a clinically significant concern.

So, my recommendation would be that, if you are concerned about your daughter's behavior and find that she needs additional support to be successful, speak to your doctor, school counselor, psychologist, or someone similar - share your concerns, and take it from there.
