It is normal for a 9-10 year old, or any child to develop anxiety symptoms when his or her parents divorce. What to do:
-The child is going to need to see stability and security from the parent. So- keeping boundaries and discipline the same (not treating the child different since she's "been through so much" as some parents believe.)
-Communicate a sense of stability by reminding her that you love her and she will always be your daughter, and you will never leave her.

If her symptoms are interfering with school or becoming extreme, then it's time to visit a local counselor or see the school counselor.
