Q:

I want to add foreign languages to my 2nd grader's homeschool curriculum. Can anyone give me feedback on work load, cost, and scheduling?

Asked by Samara via Contact Us:

I have a second grader that I am homeschooling this year. And we need to add foreign language to his curriculm, we were thinking of spanish and chinese is that too much for him to take or should it be one at a time. And how will this work, cost and time schedule for that day. Please give me some feedback, so i can plan it out.

I wanted to share this non-profit website to travel abroad and learn foreign languages for free.

http://www.languageforexchange.com/

This is a language exchange community which allows people to make contact with those from other countries and organize their own languages exchanges.

The idea is that you get to know each other online before agreeing to spend a certain amount of time staying with them in their country to live the local life and learn the native language. You’ll live in your language exchange friend’s house, like one of them, sharing their interests and taking part in activities.

In turn, they can come and visit you for the same amount of time.

You can find over 11000 members from 140 countries, practicing 80 languages. and the service is Free of charge! Just pay for your plane ticket to the destination of your choice.
