What the Expert Says:
Dear Mahsah:
ADHD is usually a life long condition of learning and cannot be cured. However, remember that many men (women are rarely diagnosed with ADHD) are able to finish school, find great jobs, and have successful lives. ADHD simply means a person may be inattentive or not have developed the skills of patience, showing up on time, participating and planning schedules without being overwhelmed. People with ADHD may also have con current conditions such as hyperactivity, learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders.
Do not be fooled by chiropractic, holistic methods, diets etc. They have been proven useless time and time again are often expensive and will divert you and your pediatrician/school from proper diagnosis and treatment.
Best wishes.
