Q:
Can I get an advocate for my child?
I would like to get an advocate for my child to ensure that she is receiving the same education that her fellow 1st graders are receiving. She was placed in a K-1 combo class, which is now on its 3rd teacher since the start of school only 9 weeks ago. We are in the San Diego Unified School District. I am extremely concerned and was hoping that the state has some sort of advocacy program available - as they do for children with disabilities.
Thank you.
