Q:
At what age should I have my child tested for ADHD?
We're a homeschool family, so having LD labels isn't an issue here, but we're noticing some very obvious signs of ADHD in our 7 year old son, and with a family history (his Dad), we're thinking about having him tested. Even if it's just for my peace of mind, that I'm not crazy! Or having the option of medication if we feel he needs it in the future. At what age should we have him tested and where do I start? Or should we let it go and see if his behavior changes with maturity?
