I don't know about TX, but in GA, pre-K starts at age 4. There is a state funded program called Head Start for 3 year olds. I encourage you to get him started right away, because if he can learn social skills and focus, he will be on the right path. I bet if you called your nearest school or county school board, they would be able to point you to some education programs that would suit your child. Hope this helps.

Surely at 3 he should be attending nursery or preschool?. In the UK children are able to start nursery on a sessional am or pm or full day basis at the age of 2, some nurseries take babies as well!. At age 4 they start school on a full time basis!. So if he can't start Kingergarten yet or pre-kindergarten why not enroll him in nursery/preschool for a year he will benefit enromously from it and if he's bright why not choose a structured one such as a Montessori, good luck.
