This answer probably comes too late for you, so sorry! I don't really know but you could do a test. Use two identical glasses containing the same level of water at the same temperature. Use, for example, a level teaspoon of each substance. Place them in the water at the same time. Give each one swirl of the spoon or none at all; wait one minute and see if there is any visible material left in the bottom of the glasses.
