Depends on the school. In some schools if your child has failed a class or two classes, then in some cases. Your child will probabably have to take that class again. But not held back. But in some cases, the school might hold your child back. Which I think is absurd. But.... most likely i'm pretty sure that the child would just have to keep taking that class for the year, until he or she passes that class.
