Q:
How can I help my child with Star Testing on Accelerated Reader?
My twin boys are in 1st grade with different teachers, one of them is reading pretty well I think for his age, and on the AR level, he's between 1.5 and 2.3, which I think is not bad, but when he tests on the Star Test, he scores 1.0.
I don't know if there's anything out there that can help me help him. I know he's very smart and I'm willing to teach him but I don't know what to teach so that makes both of us lost.
Can anyone help me out here? He's in a fundamental school and if he doesn't improve that result I'm afraid the teacher will say that he'll have to repeat 1st grade.
