Q:
Where does college data come from?
I just looked at the admissions numbers for Texas A&M University Texarkana and they are so far off its a joke!
It says 32% of applicants get accepted!
WRONG!!!
Its an open-enrollment university, they accept everyone.
They even accept people at the zeroth percentile into the MBA program. There are no standards to admission. Further, 58% of those accepted attend???? This is also way off. Almost every applicant is accepted, and a very low percentage (closer to 32%) attend. I have to wonder if in the best case scenario, the numbers go flipflopped, which would still deflate the acceptance rate from its real ~90%. More likely, the admin gave this data and simply fabricated the numbers. I have seen the real numbers fairly recentlly and I know these are wrong.
