What the Expert Says:

Conditionally promoted is not a term that has widespread use. Basically, it means that a student has been promoted without having made the passing benchmarks. Children learn at different rates at different ages, so based on staff recommendations, a student may be promoted and still be able to maintain academic standing. I would suggest that you ask for clarification from the school (administrator or counselor) and also ask for interventions that are available to assist your child.
