My daughter is 14 and is cutting herself and we asked why. She said she has a problem fitting in and this is her way of doing so. I need help!

I've never had this issue. My daughter is very outgoing and smart. I think it might be she does not know how to communicate with kids her age. She seems to get along with younger kids and older adults. She does have a few friends her age and I might be wrong on all of this. My temper is very high right now and I have not spoken to her about it. I need help to give the right lecture. I'm at a loss. She means the world to me.

Your daughter is using cutting as away to cope with things. The best thing that you can do is to have an open and honest conversation with her about how she is feeling and what are her reasons for cutting. You should also talk with her about other ways that she can express her feelings.

my son did the same thing and we had to pull him from public schools. He said it was a way to feel relief from all the pressure and school and teasing. We've found alot of peace putting him in a homeschool program through the below website. He immediately felt welcomed and asked us if he could do this. Good luck...
