What the Expert Says:

Give your teacher a call or perhaps send an email requesting a grade update. Most teachers are willing to do this informally without a meeting. Sometime teachers are "forbidden" by their school districts to report grades directly in an email, but teachers can easily tell you what work is missing and generally how your child is progressing without a specific grade sheet.

If you need a specific grade, consider calling the school or grade level guidnace counselor at your dauther's school and make your request with that individual. Good luck in getting the information that you need!

Hi KSauls,

I'd contact your child's teacher and see if you can set up an appointment to talk to them about your daughter's grades. Alternatively, the grades might be up on a website which the teacher/school can direct you to.
