When I was in elementary school, we always had these great May Day celebrations that would carry into the night with games and activities.  The students would begin preparation weeks in advance to perform dances, songs, etc and there was always a May Pole Dance where the students would dance around the May Pole with pastel colored ribbons and wrap the pole.  It was so much fun!  I'm just wondering if anyone still celebrates May 1st.  I've had a difficult time finding May Day activities.  I know that with Cinco De Mayo and Mother's Day, it is a little much to throw in another event, but I miss the May Day celebrations.
