R(evi)EM , Student asks:

What should I do if someone I really dislike is being picked on?

The peer in question is someone I have had severe issues with in the past. He physically assaulted me earlier in the year, and doesn't respect the personal space and boundaries of anyone in the class. Thus, he is ostracized. It's gotten so bad that most of the school - it's a small school - knows of him. I have also heard that he has been going to therapy because of bullying and other reasons, though these may be rumors/exaggerations.

Though I empathize, I still can't bring myself to feel any sympathy and I am not willing to befriend him.
