Fill up a glass halfway with cold water from the tap.

Choose a raw, uncooked egg with no visible cracks in the shell. Place the egg gently into the water.

Watch as the egg sinks to the bottom of the glass. The egg sinks because it is more dense than the water.

Add a tbsp. of salt to the water. Stir the water to help the salt dissolve and distribute throughout the glass of water.

Add more salt if you need to. Add a tbsp. at a time, until you get a reaction.

Watch as the egg begins to float in the water when you have added enough salt.
