Many of the toys made for birth-6 years old from LeapFrog, Vtech, and Fisher-Price fit these descriptions.  All these toys usually have multi-sensory and are easily activated by sound or touch.  More importantly, these toys always give the child the immediate response that is great for all children – typical and special needs.  These toys offer close-ended play such as asking the child to touch the button for an alphabet, numbers, shape, color, etc.  They also have open-ended play where they child can touch anything on the button and a sound will be made accordingly. The majority of these toys have many different modes that progress in difficulties so the children usually can play with the same toy for a few years.
