One can't properly do an experiment on the planets. Experiments involved controlling and manipulating variables and you are not able to do that with celestial objects. As is suggested, you can investigate the organization of the solar system and make a scale model of it as a project. Good luck.

You can make up models of the plants, sun out of paper-masha and look up the measurement and put the measurement in between the sun  and plants. FYI plant Pluto is no more. from that you get your conclusion
