Q:
explain lightning conductor in terms of charge and electricity and why not a capacitor is used as a battery, how do they differ in terms of charge?
we say as lightning conductor minise the effect of lightning by ionising the space charge that is charges in atmosphere and so the less charge will be transfered to the under ground earth at a depth.what happen to those charges that pass through the long conductor present in a building.and even a capacitor can store charge similiar to battery and in both cases there is discharge with respect to time constant.
