We have been homeschool, per se, our daughter for the past 2 years, starting out is difficult with all the infomation out there.  It is very easy to get bogged down with it all in the begining.  My suggestion would be to do a Yahoo group search for homeschool groups, there are alot of them to choose from, so you will have to sort through them all but this one is one of the best that I have found so far-

You can ask questions and get information from other homeschooling family on anything from how they schedule their day to the programs that work and don't work.

Homeschooling is always an adventure! I would first contact this website. Go to your state and then click on it. You should get some really good info. regarding homeschooling including the laws in your state. I homeschool and love it! I would not have any other way :)
 
One more thing, you need to find out what your state's laws are first.
