Hi Navarrete,

It's wonderful that you're wanting to be so involved in your child's academic success. While most schools offer progress reports that keep parents up-to-date on how their kids are doing in particular classes every couple of months, it's understandable that you'd like to see more frequent updates.

Try contacting your child's school, and talking to the teacher directly. I'm sure that he or she will appreciate your interest, and would be happy to talk to you about your child's progress.

As for homework, try encouraging your child to stay organized by keeping a assignment book where he writes down his homework assignments and when they are due. Also, urge him to have an organized binder or folder where he keeps homework that's incomplete - and then to place completed homework in a separate section of the binder or folder. This will help you both stay in the know about what he has left to do.

Hope this helps, and good luck!
