How to find local sources for tadpoles?

"We would like to raise tadpoles in our classrooms, but would prefer using local sources so that we can release them into the wild again.  Any suggestions?"

I would contact your local science club if you have one, and see if they have any suggestions. Alternatively you could try your local US National Park branch, Open Space Department (local trails and hiking), and their State counterparts if available. Other ideas could be your local boy scout troop, or maybe tapping a high school teacher for more ideas.
