Hello,

Education.com has an extensive collection of science fair projects that you can review with your fourth grader to see if any are of interest: http://www.education.com/science-fair/elementary-school/

You can also search the directory by the keyword, "water". http://www.education.com/science-fair/elementary-school/?q=water

For tips on how to help your child with science fair projects, visit this info center: http://www.education.com/topic/help-child-with-science-fair-projects/

I hope all goes well with this science exploration. Thank you for asking!

An example of treatment ponds and lagoon shows the ineffective dead water space as the flow short circuits across the treatment lagoons and exits.

Simply placing our engineered flow control baffle in the treament ponds allows the flow to be controlled and the entire pond area to be used. This results in better BOD and TSS levels and ensures plants stay within there permit limits and avoid costly shutdowns.

GOOD CONTROLLED WATER FLOW saves you time and money!!!!

Do an experiment to see how many drops of water fit on a penny.

Then see if putting other material in the water (salt, soap, flour, peanut butter... etc...) will affect the number of drops you get!

I'm including instructions for doing the lab.

Using water balloons is lots of fun - test whether larger ones or smaller ones make a bigger splash when dropped or if the same sized balloons make a different sized splash based upon the height of the drop!

Some examples for science fair projects on water are: what liquid freezes faster?, Does an ice cube melt faster in air or in water?, How much salt does it take for an egg to float?
