Absolutely! Getting into a top college however may be more difficult, but you should have no problem with a GED getting into a community college, and if you do well there, you can probably transfer to a good 4-year institution. Good luck to you!

Do not allow anyone to disparage your degree!  Of course you can and should go to college!  People receive GEDs for multiple reasons these days, so apply to every and any college that your heart desires.  A key to admissions is to make an appointment with the admissions office to discuss the process with them, see the campus, and collect all the material you can on it.  Don't be afraid to ask for help with your application, search online for tips on writing your essays, and remember to have fun with the process.  It may seem daunting at first, but chances are you'll be one of the best students in your college classes!
