Q:

What should I get as a gift for my friend's nephew who's very good at arts/drawing?

I just learned that he's very good at arts and drawing and had won several school/district awards. I just want to give the 6 years old boy a little something to show a support.  Any suggestion? Thank you!

Hi there,

How thoughtful! Your friend's nephew is going to be very pleased. If you have a cool art store near you, some art supplies would be a great gift. Even something simple like crayons, markers, or colored pencils, as well as a blank sketchbook would be very well received, I think.

Education.com also puts together a yearly gift guide consisting of gifts that are staff, parent, and teacher approved - and lots of the products recommended by the Editorial team actually fall in the Arts & Crafts category.

I've linked to both the kindergarten, first, and second grade gift guides below. Good luck!

Alex

A art easel would also be an appreciated gift.  You can find several at Amazon.com at very reasonable prices, free shipping available on most.  They also carry supplies.
