Hi Jaboli,

A hypothesis is an educated guess based on an observation. For this science project: http://www.education.com/activity/article/birdseed-detective/ , your child can look at the different types of bird seed, and then come up with a guess about which type or types of bird seed will be eaten the fastest. If she has some idea of what birds are around the neighborhood,this will help her make an educated guess.

Then, she can check the results by observing the amount of different types of bird seed that gets eaten.
