Jvass1 asks:

hepatitis B vaccine

I believe my 1 year old daughter has already received all three of her hep B vaccine shots (according to my personal documentation) however her doctor only has two shots documented and wants to give her another shot.  Is there a risk in getting a fourth hep B shot?

Dear Jvass:

No there is generally no risk.  Vaccine records of the international adopted are often missing hepatitis and it is given after we can prove they need it.  Some children don't "take" the first series and need to repeat it. So it's not so bad if the fourth is given.  I would try to find the documentation however.
