Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear your concerns about your district's school performance.  Under No Child Left Behind, if your school is a Title 1 school and is designated "in need of improvement", you do have a right to attend a higher performing school in the district.  I think the best first step is to bring your concerns directly to your school principal or district superintendent to discuss your options and how the district is addressing the situation.

Best,
Kelly
