The hypothesis is your child's educated guess or scientific prediction about what will happen as a result of the scientific experiment. For example: what does your child think will happen in the experiment when the tumeric and alcohol are added to the baking soda and water? What will happen when the vinegar is added? The answer to these questions are potential hypothesis statements.
