you can have a magnet in a bag and a bunch of things to test to see if they are magnetic, like coins, paper clips, wires, sticks, etc.

you can have a magnifying lens in a bag and some things to look at close up and sketch.

you could have a small jar of bubble mix and a soda straw in the bag. Pour a puddle of the mix on a flat surface and use the straw to try to blow the biggest bubble dome you can. Record the diameters.

you could have a thermometer in the bag and use it to measure temperatures at various places in your house to find the coolest and warmest spots.
