I think it is very important to educate your children the importance of what we need in our bodies to keep their bodies healthy. It starts at home first, so the meals you prepare have to have signifigance in what you are teaching your children what is healthy and what is not. I would tell them that the treats are ok when eaten in moderation. A little ice cream, and candy is ok, but only every once in a while. If you totally eliminate this stuff, when they grow up that might have a problem with wanting the junk food, and then might pick up bad habits later on in life.
