Young children respond better to predictable schedules. Depending on the age, warnings about transitions are important such as "we are leaving in 15 minutes" then repeating that warning in 10 and 5 minutes. Your school makes order out of potential chaos by keeping to a schedule that works for the teacher. Research this with what ever program your child is in so that it works the best.
