KBSK asks:

Is there a job bulletin?

I am a member of the Fair Oaks Community, I live nearby Bella Vista High School.  I'm seeking someone skilled in light carpentry (handyman/woman) to repair a wooden garden lounge (Adirondack) chair for an agreed upon price.

Have you tried contacting the high school to see if they have a teen job board, or if there is a school counselor (or wood shop teacher) who could refer interested teens? You can research the school's phone number in SchoolFinder: http://www.education.com/schoolfinder/ You might also try similar outreach to local colleges.

Another free resource for finding helpers is Craiglist: http://www.craigslist.org

However, I prefer to find helpers via personal referrals from people I trust. Have you talked to your friends and neighbors to find out who they use for home projects? How about your local gardening or home repair stores?

Good luck -- I hope you find a reliable, reasonably priced worker who can fix your chair for you.
