What the Expert Says:

If you are the kid who has lost his or her glasses, we hope you have found them by now! If not, it's important to be honest and tell your parents what happened. Most of the time, parents may be upset that something of value was lost, but they will be even more upset if you do not tell them the truth about what happened.

Children and adults are not perfect...we all make mistakes. If losing your glasses is something which has happened more than once or twice, your parents should devise a plan with you on how to keep better track of them. They may want to ask your eye doctor or optician for some ideas. Some people have ropes or chains they wear around their necks which are connected to their glasses so they don't lose them. Some find that by keeping their glasses in an eyeglass case in the same place every day, helps them to put them away in a proper place when they are done using them.
