It depends where you live. My kids (I live in California) do have school but my friends on the East Coast all have their kids home on Monday. Since it's the weekend and the school office is closed, the only way to find out will be to check the school's website (you can find it by looking in SchoolFinder - link below) or ask a friend who also goes to the school. You could also try calling the school to see if Columbus day is mentioned on their voice mail message, or driving by the school to see if the holiday is posted on the announcement board in the parking lot (if you have one).
