Kalliyah asks:

Kindergarten Age.

My child will turn 5 in October.  She has been going to daycare since she was 3 weeks old. At age 3 in daycare she was in VPK.  She entered Head Start at age 3 and far exceed kids her own age.  I would like to put her in kindergarten August 2011 but to start she has to be 5.  I can't afford a private school.  Can anyone tell me if I could possibly enroll her in a chartered school?

Hi Kalliyah,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. There is a good chance you can enroll your daughter in a charter school but to be sure you should contact the school directly to find out about their kindergarten readiness rules. A great way to research schools in your area is the SchoolFinder search tool on Education.com. I included a link to SchoolFinder below. thanks and good luck in your research.
