Hello,

Program offerings typically vary across schools and school districts. I suggest contacting your child's school or school district to learn more about the programs they offer. If located in the U.S., you may use SchoolFinder to research the school or district's telephone number: http://www.education.com/schoolfinder

For general information about what to expect in middle school, check out this parent's guide: http://www.education.com/grade/middle-school/

Thanks for asking!

My oldest child is in middle school and takes Consumer Life Skills as an elective credit. So far this year they have been learning how to sew. Then they will do some cooking and that's about it. : )

Hi,

I work with The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS for short), a non-profit with more than 300 member schools in both North America and abroad. I recommend checking out TABS at www.boardingschools.com. It has information about a variety of schools for different ages of students--each with a different focus. Some may have life skills programs.
