I've included a couple links here that should help you and your child along with what's expected during his or her pre-kindergarten years. While you shouldn't worry if your child doesn't know everything on the list, the first link is a list of general kindergarten readiness indicators that are good to be aware of. The second link is to our "Is My Child Ready For Kindergarten?" portal, where you can find a wealth of information about helping your child prepare and transition into kindergarten.
It may be helpful to visit with the actual school that your child will be attending. There can be a wide variation between school's expectations in kindergarten (public versus private). Your school should have a list for you and resources to help practice these skills for the summer.
