tinkwoman asks:

How long is my child at risk if she is not getting the mist at school while others in her classroom are?

If I have chosen not to have my child vaccinated through the school how long should I keep her home if the mist is aministered to the other students?

What the Expert Says:

the is no reason to keep her home.  The mist is cold adapted and while very effective does not transmit from the nose.  Since the nose is colder than the body, the live virus should not be a risk to your daughter.  She is exposed constantly to this new virus in multiple settings other than school.  If she will be vaccinated privately, it takes two weeks for full immunity.
