The germination time (time needed to sprout) varies with the type of pepper seed, the amount of light and water, and the general heat. If you are planting indoors, have the pot in a sunny window, and keep it watered it should take about 7-10 days to see a small green sprout coming out of the soil. Most seed companies have the specific information as to sunlight demands and germination time printed on the package, so check the back if you still have the package.
