Q:

Should I move my twins back to the same room?

Asked by Heather via Comments:

We recently moved to a new house/state and decided to separate our 21 month old twins.  It seemed OK for the first few nights, but now they are waking up screaming and crying without my being able to calm them down.
They call for their daddy, who's right next to them, mom mom, who comes in to help, sissy or bubba, their nicknames for each other, and of course, mommie, who's holding them.  Should I move them back to the same room and try the separation at a later date?  Thank you.

What the Expert Says:

Try a latter date.  Twins have a separate language and social structure from other siblings and you will be more successful in changing their rooms when they are older particularly if they are same sex twins.
