yes, an accomodation is something that makes it easier to complete an assignment, like a multiplication table or dictionary...a modification is how you change something to suit the student, like allowing them to give 2 examples of something on a test where your regular ed students might need to give 5 examples, or in math having 3 problems all testing the same skill just at different levels of difficulty and letting the students choose...hope this helps!
