What the Expert Says:

Dear Circe,

We are sorry you are going through this stress while trying to get an education. If the e-mails were sent to you on school property using the school's computers, then the teacher or school administration should confront the student. However, if the student sent you the e-mails from his home on his own computer, it is unlikely that the college is going to get involved. If you feel the e-mails were seriously damaging to you, you may want to contact the police for further assistance.

We hope you are able to resolve this matter in a peaceful way so you can feel safe on campus and in class. You can always call our Hotline for more support. Counselors are available 24 hours, 7 days a week.  Take care and best wishes!

Sincerely,

Cynthia, Counselor
